UIHMT Placement cell is not only highly knowledgeable, but is also the best connected, having been networking with professionals from industries. It is this combination which has ensured placements with top hotels groups throughout the country. An impressive number of hotels International & National have been regularly conducting placements from UIHMT each year. Some of India’s most influential and prominent personalities are on the Board of UIHMT, which helps in bringing the best placement opportunities for our talented and exceptional students.

The Placement and Training Centre plays an active role in connecting with the most senior professionals and industries by inviting them to campus to bridge the Industry – Academia gap.

The placement cell plans career guidance, counseling sessions and training programs with the help of industry and academic professionals to effectively groom and counsel students towards a bright career. The placement cell of UIHMT maintains close contact with recruiters throughout the year and conducts numerous workshops on resume writing, group discussions and mock interviews.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

This is a compulsory component of the curriculum, and is designed to provide exposure to the students of the working of organizations. It gives an exposure and an opportunity for experiencing the corporate environment. Simultaneously the corporate world also gets a fair idea of the talent quotient of the emerging generation of future managers at UIHMT.

It also provides an opportunity to the organizations for getting a closer assessment of the students towards final placement opportunities. Several hotels are keen to absorb good talent into their organizations and the students of UIHMT have got placed through this route.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

According to the curriculum the industrial training is executed at the decided time as per the university but the as per the decision of the academic committee a vocational training is organized for a period of 2 months to give the students an exposure of the industry which gives the students a chance to see the practical of what was taught to them in the class.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

To provide on job experiences along with a feel of joy and perpetuity, UIHMT organizes industrial visits of its students to different businesses. Industrial visits are an integral facet of UIHMT learning model.

The variants of deeply institutionalized practices enable the students to gain a deeper understanding of classroom teaching and gain practical exposure in real time.

Industrial visits provide the opportunity to students to meet organizations officials and staff at common place and gather all possible information regarding the functioning of their organization.
